Haldex filter and oil change

Hi found this video on you tube which is for the Evoque. Would the process be the same for the FL2 2009?

If Gen 3 no, if Gen 4 possibly but I soon gave up with no ramp and asked Bell to do it.

Is the video correct regarding haldex oil refilling? I thought you had to take some back out once it had been filled to the filler hole level. Jules

Jules, that was also my understanding. The video also makes pump removal look an awful lot easier than any other links i’ve seen to this! But then, you don’t actually see him removing it! 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

Yes, you do. In the video he just fills it to the maximum level and wonders why it took so much! From memory, you fill it to the top, leave the ignition on for 5 mins (or take it for a drive), refill again to the level then draw off 180ml (I think - check the exact amount before doing this). Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

As the videos are not specific to our vehicles I would say to ignore. Only real way to know is have a go and see what happens. If it is straight forward I will make my own video as it will be the first for the FL2 out there I believe.

Edit. I was almost right! Whistle Fill it up, leave ignition on for 5 mins, switch off, refill, then withdraw 70ml. My Evoque is at 44,000 miles so I think I’ll do that fairly soon. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

do able
(I did it)

but hindsight I would drive to Bell and get it done

I would have thought if the pump and filter is cleaned / replaced, why not do a proper job and clean the whole thing out.

Depends what you mean by clean 'the whole thing' out:

Pump - Whatever you do, I recommend you don't remove the third screw on the pump face. I did because i wanted to clean the pump's moving parts. There are a set of timy pistons, plates and springs under there and it took me 2 attempts to put them back in the correct order. Also, there was no gunk under there anyway as the filter screen had done its job.

Clutch pack - Although there is a video on Youtube of a Russian guy swilling out the Haldex with a solvent, and splitting the clutch pack, I was advised against this by Austen at Bell. I follwed his advice and blew out the clutch pack with an airline via the holes in the case. FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green
Evoque SD4 Auto Blue.
FL1 HSE TD4 Manual Black - Gone.
RR Classic V8 EFI - Gone
