2009 Freelander 2 SD4 S Manual Mauritius Blue
Reduced Engine Performance - Throttle Body

Hi
I need some help please for my freelander 2009, STD4, 2.2. When accelerating, the warning of Reduced Engine Performance comes up with a loss in power. Restarting the engine clear the problem temporarily until it re occur randomly. I have done the diagnostic as below (see uploaded in gallery). Since am far away from UK and that all parts need to be imported from there taking at least 3 weeks, would like to make sure I order the right ones. Any idea what needs to be done please? The fuel filter has never been changed and its at 150 K miles, so this I intend to replace. But any other parts? Thank you for any help

Replace your Fuel Filter as soon as possible. This is probably the cause of your Reduced Engine Performance message. Instructions are on the forum which should be followed carefully to avoid getting air in the fuel lines. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

It could also be split hose or pipe on the turbocharger, had this 2 weeks ago couldn't find it garage used a smoke generator to find where it was, right by the alternator by the intercooler. They fitted a silicon hose for rally cars with a 2bar rating total cost €100 including labour and vat part only from LR €260 as a complete unit hard and soft pipes. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

maqh. Maybe you need to service your car which should be done every 12 months or 15,000 miles if sooner.

Hi I would agree with the split hose on the turbo charger...very common. If you YouTube it you could do it yourself as its quite easy. You could at least eliminate this as the problem if the hose is ok.
Let us know how you get on.

Thank you all for the advice. Having never changed the fuel filter, I forget to mention I bought it at 90k and before all servicing was done at the dealership, i believe that's the last time it was changed.
I ordered a new fuel filter and hose from lrdirect and should arrive in 1 week and will replace and will upload the outcome. Where can find a list of parts and timing when they need to be replaced?

thx
