hi am I right in thinking if I update with the latest sat nav discs @ 2016/2017 from my 2012 disc the software will be the same , but the maps will be newer? been told I could update maps but the software will stay the same(2010) the map data would update from 2010 to2016

I think that you are correct, I do not believe that the sat nav system software has been updated for a number of years.

Thought there were no 2016/2017 discs as they ended with the Freelander?? If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

There are a number of people producing discs that are compatible - if you do a search on the internet you will find them.

The latest one were issued March 2017.

Nae disc as far as I can see. USB required from stealer?  If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

The update is referring to the earlier DVD based sat navs

Just had a look on the "Stealer" web site for usb sat nag upgrade £169 !!!! you can buy many a sat nag for under a hundred that will give you life time upgrades on maps and naughty cams. anybody know if the 2013 sat nag can be changed to run on Garmin or Tom Tom?

Just joined and need to update the Sat Nav in a 2007 FL2. Are there any recommendations as to where to get the discs from? I have looked at the stealer price and, after falling off my chair, have decided to go elsewhere to source an upgrade.

Purchased mine from e-bay last year, worked a treat. Was concerned at one point when I loaded disc and it said it was updating, over an hour later it was still the same. Arrived home and turned car off, got in the next morning and the sat nav was working fine and new roads that were previously not showing were there

Up to date DVD discs for pre-2013MY cars are no longer available from Land Rover, however there are a number of on-line suppliers who are able to supply more up to date versions (the map data seems to always be about a minimum of 12 months out of date).

There are also some on-line sites which claim to be able to supply post-2013MY updates, but these seem to be made available to down load to USB drives and then up load to the sat nav system.

Just inset disc or USB and option will come up on the screen, it's about 36 minutes for USB and 1.06 hrs for disc. Progress is shown on the home screen whilst download in progress so you know how much there is to go. MY15
