After I parked my FL2 Metropolis up last night after doing some work on it I locked it and noticed that the rear lights were staying on even though the lights weren’t switched on. Don’t know if the front lights were on as the whole front end is currently off the car while I repair some accident damage. I decided to just disconnect the battery but wondering if this is some kind of feature of the keyless entry that they stay on if the key is in close proximity or something?

Rear lights stay active for about one minute if lights were active on close down and will extinguish as soon as you lock the car. Fronts existinguish depending on the setting you have selected in "Vehicle Settup" in the comand centre. MY15

Hmm this was with the car locked

Play the ball, poor car is hardly going to be in happy mode with the front hanging off.  FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Obviously that crossed my mind too, but first off I wanted to see if it was some sort of feature of the car. Roll eyes not really necessary..
