The bloody clock and no spare wheel

hi there boys (and girls?) - we've a new baby brother for the Disco3 in the family. It's lovely and petite and well formed. As I try to figure out it's working by pressing buttons rather than reading the manual (which is the boring way) can anyone tell me how to get the clock displayed on the radio when it's tuned off? Not a problem on the D3 but have landrover improved things!

Also, only a tube of tyre fix and no spare wheel!!!! what are LR thinking

I would love to know how to get the clock to display too, very annoying. I got full size 17" spare. Think you should go back to the stealer!

in my view the clock should be displayed on the main information display anyway in stead of looking down at the radio display! Idea

Just checked on my HSE (Premium Audio) and the clock is displayed all the time, Audio on or Audio off, except when Traffic Announcements are on.
I have not set this to be on - it always has been. Could it be that the clock needs setting before it will display?
The manual tells you how to set the time - Press "Menu".
Turn knob until "clock" is displayed, then press
Turn knob until "Set" is displayed and press
Turn Knob until "Hours" are set and press
ditto re; minutes
On Standard Audio, "OK" should be displayed - press knob
On Premium Audio, press "Exit" button.
It might work??!!!??? Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly!

I just press the Aux button, this gives you the clock and no sound as long as you don't have your MP3 player connected.

does the full size alloy spare wheel option mean that you get a matching alloy or an alloy type wheel?
my dealer seems to think that it would not be a nice shiny alloy but rather a lightweight alloy type sprayed black? toothdoc

matching alloy and tire, so you've got 5 identical alloys and tires

at least that's how it is by my car
