ignore above camera, bought a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 IV Digital Camera instead

bought from e-infin.com, who upon checking out was a lot cheaper and

https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/e-infin.com and won PayPal awards, so covered if it turns pear shaped Wink

reviews is really good, been following Jared Polin since i got in to photography, so if it gets his thumbs up, i'm happy

Ukraine 2013 Freelander 2 2.0T SE Auto Fuji White

I'm a SLR user & in the dark ages used medium format 645 & 67. But on my recent trip used a Canon G9X.

Limitation were slow speed so missed some shots, & shooting into the sun is challenging, careful framing can help, & I really miss super wide angle 14mm, & wide angle for that matter!

Shoot in AV mode & reduce the aperture a stop or two. Stick to the lowest ISO where you can. Overall quite happy to miss a few shots to avoid 5 to 10 kg of gear! A bit of careful framing & holding your hand over the lens to shade it helps a lot.

Also take a dozen shots in low light & picking the one without camera shake is a no tripod option!

I am also a RAW shooter but on the G9X used jpg, but changed colour mode to faithful & generally shot a third of a stop under. The camera has low noise so it is better than loosing highlights & I can add saturation in post, so I have as much JPG data as is possible.

Wearing a hat will help with the view finder/screen.

Also the water shots are through my polarising sun glasses (with too many scratches) & not my B&W polarising filters!

I understand the West Yorkshire Police are now looking for a flasher. Laughing

Happy enough with my Panasonic Lumix TZ100, if anything the modern compact has too many functions but suit me wandering around in my big mac in the Yorkshire Dales. A SLR is just too bulky for walking and backpacking. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

spent a long day reading reviews and nearly went for a Fujifilm X100T or F

But then decided i needed a zoom to some degree, so changed tack

ended up last night watching the above review video, then reading and found it at a good price

Just need to find a good case for it now, that will protect it when i go over my handle bars MTB'in Laughing Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

There seems to be two different prices online. One priced at around £700+ and one priced at less than £500. The cheaper ones say JE (International version). What's the difference? Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Sony cameras are superb and vastly overpriced, I have a Sony A6000 as of Dec 2015, at that time I was aware of a new model on the horizon so I didn't know whether to wait for maybe a price reduction on the A6000 or see what the new model had to offer. In their infinite wisdom Sony did not kill off my model but kept it as another option in the range, I paid £450 for it with a £50 back voucher, I got the basic lens with it. amazingly I see the same camera body now for sale new over £600 in many places.

for those remotely interested if this link works it takes you to the shots I took with this camera on flickr, about 1100 images nearly all in the Yorkshire Dales, where I left my heart. . . Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

I believe the only difference is the JE version have to have a camera click/shutter noise when taking a photo

Can't actually see where my order is coming from, other than they pay import tax Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
