Hello, as anyone got a roof rack on their FL2 and if so what make/style. Seen the Front runner and like the look but keep getting conflicting advice, is it possible to get an expedition rail pack that goes around the sides ?. Many thanks Andy.

There was this one ...... built for the G4 Challenge vehicles (by Safety Devices I Think) ..... but very very rare !

I recently modified an aluminium Rhino roof rack that had come off a transit van.
The modification was quite simple, as it's only riveted and bolted together.
It looked quite smart.
My only problem was, I had already fitted roof rails so it made it too high so I sold it on.

Hi, mine has the roof rails fitted (on when purchased) so will take those off when i get one.

Land Rover did a roof tray as an accessory which obviously isn't listed on their website anymore, but you could ask Dan@Duckworths via this forum if they are still available or if current model versions will fit

Land Rover also did a very good expedition rack for the Freelander 1 that bolted onto the roof rails but they were very rare but if you can find one it may be slightly modified to fit the FL2 roof rails.
There is a pic of my old FL1 in my gallery with it fitted, in the snow with roof lights on.

RogB, so close (about 12 miles), the FL1 Landcover racks were good i must admit i've had 2 in the past and the last one i sold with the G4 ladder that mounted on the spare wheel.

A lot of 4WD here have 3 or 4 cross bars, & if needed the odd one uses a couple of pieces of timber to support things. It is about keeping the actual roof rack weight to the minimum so you can actually carry things on the roof other than the roof rack! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Big thank you to Largered for the heads up on the roof racks, pleased to report one of them now sits nicely on the top of the motor and looks really well above the BFG Goodridge AT's i got the other week (245/70x17's). Need to take some photos and upload so now to try and learn how to do it, may i ask which/what programs are people using to do this on this site. Very true, but sadly i have been on too many forums where people have egos to fill and quickly becomes nasty. Only been here a short while but looking through old posts and seeing names on here from previous sites it seems to be a friendly easy going place to be.
