Fun in a caravan

Not sure how it started but we've been involved in a group caravan 'do' at new year for several years now ...

This year we had a group of 4 families, 8 adults plus four teenagers and five dogs. Now there is no getting away from the fact that it has been bloody cold recently (by UK standards) but never the less we had a great time.

It was well organised before hand that mums would provide the food the first night, the 'kids' on the second night and the dads the third night. The only way to get everyone around a table to eat was to set up in an awning. OK it wasn't the warmest place on earth but we managed and had a great time. Then after eating retired to a caravan, for music and more drinking. Our van has proved on several occasions to be a great place for up to 14 people (plus dogs).

The theme for eating on the dad's night was Indian, we started preparation about 11am for a 7pm start, we were serious and hell it was good ....

First night of the stay saw temperatures down to -7c which was a bit of a challenge to keep the water working, but we did. But as for comfort in the 'van then it was great, 'snug as a bug in a rug' springs to mind !!! I know there is a certain skepticism about this caravanning lark, but I promise you with a good bunch of people it really is a great laugh !!!! Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!

Two friends of mine as school children had to sleep in the towing car of one of the lads parents whilst on a cross Europe vaning trip. Anyway the parents decided to have their own intimate private party in the van. Unfortunately they hadn't unhitched the van or lowered any jacks so any rocking motion was transferred to the car Laughing much to the amusement of the non son and the horror of the son Rolling with laughter At work
