Steering Wheel judder / feedback when breaking from speed

Hi All

new on here and just taken delivery.
So far so good except for one issue...when traveling over 50mph and break I get some feedback in the steering...Its not noticeable at low speeds.

The dealer (KIA franchise) is aware and is happy to sort but as its not local so need to get a rough idea...i was thinking it could be break disk or pads but though i would feel this at low speeds as well.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Brakes, you take a break but a common error. BMW dealer in York advertised a new car like that once. It should have been enough warning as I made the mistake of buying one from them that was rejected only hours after delivery !

Could be warped discs or worn suspension parts. I assume you are not getting it as you drive along. Best advice is get it back to dealer/seller asap while your consumer rights take some precedence. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Thanks....Im thinking more towards suspension as it can be often brake discs get wrapped these days but could be wrong.
Im not concerned about getting it sorted as it came with the kia extended unlimited warranty which is one of the best on the market...and if it is the brakes they have said they will sort as it should have been picked up.

Thanks for the reply

Mine has done this once and only once. I was in Spain and had just driven a long dirt road. It happened when I was back on tarmac and braking from 70mph down hill to a junction. I put it down to dirt on the front wheels causing an imbalance. That was May last year and it hasn't happened again since. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE

Thanks....it’s has had two re front tires so did wonder if they had been balanced correctly but does seam ok at speed.

I’ve booked it in on Friday for a winter health check at landrover so if it’s not the discs im sure they will have a good look round and give a view on it and a nice estimate to fix it.

Just need to fix the parking sensors now as when it rains they don’t like it 😁

For the parking sensors, give them a clean with a soft dry cloth then a quick spray of silicon grease. Worked for me. I tend to repeat the process occasionally when I think about it. Never had a problem with rain since I did this.

Thanks...just primed some on amazon and will give that a try this weekend. Will mention it to the dealer tomorrow as the part is covered under warranty.

Cheers
