Buyer Beware!

I bought my FL2 before Christmas from a 2nd hand car dealer about 30 miles from where I live. It was advertised as just had a service and subsequently has their service stamp in the book, I've since covered another 1000 miles.
Today I took the air box off to fit a new battery and earth strap mod at the same time, obviously a basic service doesn't include changing the air filter these days...

I'm not too fussed as I always planned and budgeted to have the cambelt and 10 year service done at a local indy, and even if the advert said it hadn't been "serviced" by them I would've still bought it. It's just annoying how some dealers lie.

Tried to upload a pic, but it's not working 😞

Basic service at a car dealer normally means oil and filter change and a check over to make sure there is nothing obvious that needs attention.

Air and fuel filters are only replaced at at B services, not A, according to LR's maintenance check sheet. So every other service, in other words.

hi flukey
you should be able to book your car into your local main dealer for the "FREE"winter health check,we have had ours done for the last 3 years.it takes around an hour and a half inc valet and wash,as the weather was bad I told them not to bother with that,so it too around an hour,so drank the coffee and ate the biscuits etc and had a sit in the latest landrovers.they will go through anything they find and we have never had any pressure to get it done with them.
