Yes, you need to check, but I think I used the 4th from the left on the top row, it was not being used. Easiest way to do it is with a piggy back fuse |

Anyone looking to add a dash cam to a 2013 onwards Freelander use the blank slot fuse 52 as its next the front cigar power point fuse and is also ignition live but with a delay which must be tied into the steering lock system of the ignition.

It will instantly switch off if you exit and lock the doors.

The Nextbase that I got distinctly said NOT to hard wire into the car. The power cable it came with has a transformer/adaptor on the end which plugs into a Cig Lighter socket. So I guess it doesn't run on 12V. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE |

My Nextbase has an internal battery which allows it to wake up if the car gets a nudge. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE |

I am surprised that your Nextbase Dash Cam states do not hard wire. Halfords, Maplin etc sell branded Nextbase Dash Cam hardwire kits @ £20.

The Powermagic Pro comes with a cigarlighter socket for you to connect your dashcam. Hardwire the magic box. Plug in your camera. No need to remove the plug from the cam cable.
