Had mine serviced there last year, but only a 4 year one so relatively simple.

Ahh yes, I drove past there last week but just couldn't remember the name when I got home 😂 thanks

Unfortunately it's not, I have a full breakdown of cost right down to the smallest bits and bobs. I will be giving them a call when I have a few more quotes to compare with

Response from Durham 4x4...

Thank you for your inquiry

The 10yr service for your vehicle is £750.00, this is inclusive of auxilliary belt, timing belt (cam belt), water pump, all filters, coolant change, oil change, gearbox oil change, haldex service, labour & vat

At the time of service we would also give the vehicle a 'health check' and report any findings

Unfortunately we do not have any courtesy cars

It's definitely nearer the price I had expected! Providing they can do the lot in a day I'll be a happy chappy 👍

Flukey

I would be surprised if the auto gearbox system oil change (including cooler) is included in that price, my local LR dealer quoted/charged £411, then complained afterwards that they had under quoted.
The LR ATF costs £225 for 7 litres or around £80 from Opie Oils, I could not find an LR indie in our area with the tooling/ pump rig to replace the AGB system oil.
Note that Northcroft's car is a manual.

Thanks Longdave, noted and I will confirm they know it's an auto before booking in.

Just received a reply from Parkside Huddersfield which is just a few miles from me. Although a little more expensive that Durham it's much more convenient.

Hi Luke,

Thanks for looking at our website and taking the time to ask for more information.

We have fixed prices for both the jobs you have enquired about, the timing belt is a fixed price of £399 all inclusive. This includes the labour, timing belt and tensioner, the water pump, anti freeze and the drive belt.

For the service again we have a fixed price of £449 all inclusive. This includes all the filters and oils, (engine, transmission, transfer box, heldex and rear diff which has to be removed to change the oil) and all the usual inspections you would expect on a service.

Regarding courtesy cars, not a problem we would just need a little more notice as they are always generally booked out.

If you would like to book this in either reply to this email with some dates or give us a call on 01484 767126 and we will be happy to book you in.

Kind Regards

Mick Leech

Hi Jules, they've mentioned it in the 2nd paragraph for £399. Splitting it into 2 jobs isn't a bad idea really 👍 £848 altogether

Hi Flukey, have you tried elite land rover specialists in Deepcar (just over the hill from you)? I've not had a 10 year service done with them yet but use them for everything else the FL2 needs. Always reasonably priced and know Land Rovers inside out.

No Nigel I never knew they existed! I did a Google Search for LR specialist near me but it didn't return much info. Recommendations on here seem to be the way to go.

I'll get a quote from them and see what they say, thanks
