As I recall, red is to permanent live, yellow to ignition on (but may be wrong). Here are the connections (2010 model HSE)

As above two piggy’s needed for switched and perm lives and black maybe a crimp washer to ground the black to a bolt Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

Many thanks Derek, will be on it later if this rain stops have got two piggybacks coming today so will use them. also will try as suggested above to leave glove box and get panel underneath off first... fingers crossed that works If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

Well, done as suggested used F! and F21 , set the magic power to 12v BUT am I supposed to see any lights on dash cam or something?
