Key fob battery on 2014 keyless model

Does anyone know if the key fob battery can be changed on the newer keyless model (No key slot in the dash). Hopefully its just a button battery in the keys but Im guessing LR dont make it that simple! Its not likely to be a new key job is it? Both my fibs are now saying low battery on a 64 plate.

Cheers

Andy

It's a CR2032 battery.

My experience is that at the 3 year point the car dashboard indicates that the battery is low (in both fobs as you use them).
Changing the battery is very straight forward, just go careful with the little bits that retain the emergency key blade, they tend to come loose. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

When I bought mine 2 weeks ago the battery warning was on the dash display. Dealer fitted new batteries to both keys in a few min utes.
(Why do we need keyless cars anyway? what was wrong with putting the key in the ignition anyway?
I find that I spend more time looking for my keys, in the centre cubby, on passenger seat, in my pockets etc than it saves in removing a key from an ignition lock Rolling Eyes

I’m sure I read somewhere that they do away with keys/ign/steering locks on safety grounds. Apparently it’s to save you shattering your right knee in the event of an accident.

Oh, and it is a 2032 battery - just literally changed both mine on the Evoque (same as the later FL2’s) 20 mins ago as my wife was getting the flat battery message. Put decent ones in though - I only changed hers about 6 months ago with one of those packs of 20 assorted ones from the pound shop. Fitted two Duracell’s tonight - £4 for a pack of 2 from Sainsbury's. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto
Present: Audi A3 S Line.

Sometimes the message can take a while to clear. You might need to unlock and lock the car a few times. Or leave it locked for 5 minutes. JLR don’t make batteries Laughing MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior
