Good fun this morning. Single track road, compacted snow polished to a nice shine, then frozen... white van man decided to overtake me while I was giving space for another van to make it up the next hill. Both had to slide back down, allowing me to casually take the hill with no dramas whatsoever. Really impressed with the traction control, compared to my previous experience of Land Rovers in snow, it’s amazing! 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

Nothing here though it’s bitter, must be -1 with the wind chill. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200 |

Well we've only had light snow here. Bit of a joke really after all they said and then moved the warning south at the 11th hour. Pathetic. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

We have about 2 inches in East Bedfordshire, more than I have seen in many years.

About 10cm here in North Warwickshire. Went out and picked up a friend who had taken 4 hrs to get to our village from Birmingham but couldnt get up the hill as 4 cars were blocking it - happily spinning their wheels & going nowhere - he sensibly parked it out of the way. Then went to Atherstone via Merevale and came across stuck new Discovery (or Discovery Sport - all look the same covered in snow) who looked to have taken a left hand turn too fast , with the front end ploughing on into the unseen curb. Probably hit the side of the OS front wheel and trashed the wheel/suspension. Either way he was stuck diagonally across the road (embarrassing or what !) . Would have offered help but he had already got the assistance of a farmers Loadall to drag it off the road.

J77, does the “nothing much” refer to the snow, or the amount left in your wallet after the visit? 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

My wallet stayed firmly shut, took the parents for a little run. I did have a nice lunch, though. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200 |
