Can’t help with the warranty questions, but the slippage sounds just like mine (59 plate, 82,000 miles, which i’ve only had 5 weeks). I’m hoping it will last till spring, then it will go to an indie for a new clutch. I am working on the basis that putting in a new clutch at the start of ownership means that I know where I stand and the new one should see me out. I’d feel pretty hacked off, though, if I only got 29k out of it! 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

You have greater consumer rights in the first month of ownership do not be side-lined in accepting a later repair would be my view as you may regret it.

UPDATE ........ Clutch and dmf replaced due to wear and tear in mid January, LR warranty wouldn't cover it but suggested the LR dealer who I purchased the FL off should be considering my consumer rights (strange but true!), anyway to cut a long story short, having had to pay £1612 myself to get car back ( as it was repaired at my local LR Dealer), supplying LR dealer has agreed to foot bill in full due to the fact Id only had the car just over 3 months when the fault came to notice. To be honest its been actually a quite painless experience other than having to foot the bill initially. |
