2014 front fog lights

Quick query, can genuine front fogs be easily retro fitted to a 2014 GS, loom etc already in place?

My GS came with them factory fitted as part of the Winter kit

I am sure they won't have put a special loom together for just me although I am a very important person. Rolling with laughter Thud FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I would imagine the loom will be there, does anyone know or have you fitted them, is it a simple "plug in" (I hate the over used "plug and play" description)

OK first look at the issue another way.

How are you going to turn the 'fog lamps' on and off ?

You will need a different headlamp switch block .....then body control unit may need software download .....

So even if you can fit the fog lamps and the wiring is there .......... is the rest.???

above is a photo of the inside of the bumper, you will need to cut the holes then fit the lamp plinths ...... then fit the lamp units ....... and after you have refitted the bumper you will lastly need the fog lamp bezels.

Good Luck.

No cutting is required as an MY14 will have blank inserts that pop out. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

That's what I expected to hear, thanks for the reply. This is a car that I'm going to view so don't know about the light switch or indeed bcu requirements at this time, just thinking about the aesthetics, technicalities can be addressed later if I buy it.

Be aware, if you have blanks where the fog lights would be, there may not be any plastic welded brackets/holders behind them. If this is the case, then you're stuffed. I nearly bought a facelift bumper with blanked fog holes but spotted this before parting with my hard earned.

on a 2014 MY you would need the new left hand headlight stalk as the fog lights are on a twist switch instead of the pre 2013MY which had the lights all grouped together on the right hand side of the dashboard. The 2014 GS without front fogs will only have the twist switch for the rear fogs on the left hand stalk. You will also need the software modifying in some way to enable the front fogs........ and that's IF the wiring loom is there in the first place.

TBH its something I would probably stay away from, the GS is a quite a good spec in 2014 anyway (although why they removed the fog lights is beyond me)

if you want fogs then look around for an SE Tech or XS spec in 2013MY>

think so.... but on pre facelift GS models the front fogs were standard, they were only NOT fitted to the entry level S spec.

I have a late MY13 GS and it has front fogs fitted. I thought they were standard on the year and spec, so am I wrong?
