Upgrading Tires.

So after reading online and doing Calculations, ive decided to Upgrade from 235/60r18 to 255/55/R18 on the same OEM rim. Carid website also said i should be able to use those tires as alternative. So i went ahead and put those on and the car runs great, nice handling and alot better on bumps. NOW the problem i have is that the Sidewall is pretty close to the strut and i wanted opinions on what should i do. I was told to use spacers 3-5mm but would that effect my bolts ?

You could use the spacers without worrying about the bolts - they will be plenty long enough for that size of spacer although if they are not touching the strut, why bother? It’s not as if the tyres are going to suddenly get fatter! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto
Present: Audi A3 S Line.

I've run 255/55/18 for the last 7 years with no rubbing and no spacers
