Heated Windows started automatically?

As my car is new to me this year, I thought that as the outside temp was 1c I would check that the PTC heater was working.
It did, but to my surprise, the front window heater activated and cleared the screen although I had not selected it and it did not show any light on the switch.
I knew the external mirror heaters have a will of their own, but not the front or back window heaters.
With its auto lights, auto wipers, auto gearbox, individual wheel braking, and fly by wire accelerator, the car hardly needs me. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

It needs somebody to put the fuel in. Whistle Common sense isn't very common.
