Another headlight question Freelander 2013

Sorry if this has been covered, I have a 2013 face lift HSE with standard halogen headlights which I think are Censored poor, I have put some upgraded bulbs in which have made a slight improvement.
My question is can the OE xenon bulbs be fitted?
Is the ballast on the bottom of the bulb the only one to drive the bulbs?
I realise I would have to source connector plugs and alter the CCF but is that all that needs to be done?
Any help appreciated as I live in the sticks and need to improve the night vision Shocked

Bit more of a job than that needs the proper xenon headlights cheap enough if you spend time trawling through eBay!

Same model as me and with the same issues. I've tried all sorts and so far every halogen bulb has blown.

You can fit Philips or osram HB3 brighter bulbs which last for some and not for others.

You can't fit Xenon bulbs straight in, you need a complete new set of xenon headlight and have the ccf reprogrammed. The wiring is a straight swap for 2013 onwards lights.
Or search for HID install on here for a thread about a full kit.

Cheers
I had a 58 plate before and lights were no issue, this is probably my only complaint about the car I need to see where I am going lol

They are rubbish. I often use the fogs as well. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
FL2 MY13 TD4 GS Current

The later lights did away with one bulb and substituted daylight running lights instead, same with disco4 fashion over form!
