The last week my only key fob has been playing up.. it doesn't always unlock/lock and sometimes needs to be pressed multiple times. It's a 2010 plate pre-facelift. I assumed the rechargeable battery inside was reaching its life span, which may be the case, but I've noticed that it sometimes opens first click if pressed down hard enough.. also I've noticed that the boot opens almost every try, and once the boot has been unlocked the doors are more likely to open with one click. Has anyone experienced this issue or similar? Would you suggest it's the battery or something else? LR want a whopping £260 for new keyfob and programming. Locksmith want a £210. I would attempt soldering In new battery but as it's my only key, a cock up would be a real problem. Any help is massively appreciated! [/s]

My guessing is the battery, it's a easy fix assuming you have the right tools.
