Does not drain the battery as the accessory sockets (aka cigarette lighter) are off when the ignition is off.

mines in the boot so only on when the ignition is on, one of the front ones is permanent live though so probably would have had some miniscule impact on the battery when parked up.

I don't know about your Freelies but mine has permanent power in the boot socket and the one in the centre consul by the audio socket, though both cigar lighter sockets do turn off with the ignition. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

yup, boot and rear are perm and front works on ignition. 2010 HSE SD4 in Santorini black

I got one of these, weirdly though, when i plug it into the rear charger socket, the DAB radio loses signal.... |

I had a similar issue when I put in led number plate lights. DAB lost signal. 2010 HSE SD4 in Santorini black

That's another option that fails out here, no DAB stations my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

I hang exterior led fairy lights over the kitchen window at xmas, this kills the pure DAB radio signal in the kitchen.
