Do you press and hold the start button or just a quick dab with the finger mine has to be held in for a second. |

Ye held it down tried every thing had the motor 3 year it has done it once before but this time no joy disconnected battery last time and it sorted it cheers anyhow |

My Freelander has just done the same fault as yours except mine is a Auto,

No motor started and has been ok up to today and its done the same spoke to three different land rover mechanics all not a clue what's wrong other forums suggest the steering lock module.. did you sort yours |

No, RAC went through car, fuse block behind glove box and the little one by the passenger footwell, both were fine so he went saying it must be the Ignition Modual, 6 hours later I went back out to look at the car and try things again this time I pulled off & replugged the wire plugs on /off and bingo it’s started to work again and been fine for last 2 weeks,

I wouldn't hold yer breath mine been working for last 7 weeks no problem but gone again pulled all connections and re plugged tried fuses pulled relays disconnected battery no joy.. Most other forums say it's the steering lock module but some others changed them but still have problem.. |
