Cigarette lighter socket no working

I have 3 cigarette lighter sockets fitted. One in the boot and 2 by the hand brake. The front one that doesn’t works at all. I checked the fuse under the bonnet and it’s ok. Even if it removed the other 2 sockets still work. Do I need to get a new socket. Tried to pop out the socket but it only comes out half way as something is stopping it. Can anyone help?

I'm not sure but doubt they are all behind the same fuse. The front socket is only powered when ignition is on, the rear one is permanently powered. Don't know for the one in the boot, never used it (yet).

To remove the front socket I think you will have to remove the consol.the wiring is on the same loom which plugs in at the rear of the consol.you might be able to access it through the rear of the consol where you would adjust the handbrake.

For the front console socket -
Page 14 seems to show a relay upstream of fuse FE45. This is controlled by a feed from the Central Electronics Module CEM in turn with main 60amp fuse FE17.

Rear console socket and Boot socket are always on and separately fused. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

I can’t remember if there’s 2 or 3 fuses in the fuse box under the glovebox that controls the cig sockets. I blew mine , took me ages to find the right one .
Just found the link to my thread http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic29072.html Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!

Just remove the gear knob and pries up the gater surround, remove it and you can get to the socket, used this method when I swapped out the socket for a USB type, can't remember if there was a fuse in there though. REME .. Rough Engineering Made Easy
