England 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Alaska White
[For Sale] 2008 Freelander 2, many many pounds spent £5995

Due to endless eBay timewasters I will put on here... not sure why I didn’t to begin with lol...
Text copied from my eBay ad...
I think this is very reasonably priced but maybe i’m Wrong?? Had it up for 7k with only a few calls... now reduced to £6k and getting a lot of calls but mostly messers.. Sad

Here for sale is my very much loved Freelander. Only selling due to a new arrival and upgrading to a Range Rover. Was just too small with baby and 3 dogs!!

I bought this 3 years ago from Pentland Land Rover in Edinburgh. It was their parts delivery van from new.
It had covered a lot of miles having 240k on the clock but had developed a misfire.
I had my local Land Rover garage start to diagnose and we got carried away ending up spending almost 5k rebuilding the engine... (The swirl flaps had broken and gone through the engine)
It had new pistons, valves etc. Inlet was de-swirl flapped properly and lots of other little bits. This was great for 20k miles until the end of the camshaft (not replaced when engine done - my bad) broke in the fuel pump. Not uncommon apparently. This damaged the roller rockers etc so I then had a fully reconditioned Evoque head fitted with brand new roller rockers, valves, springs, latest revision camshafts, Evoque full pump. At the same time whilst in bits I had the turbo replaced, all new silicone boost pipes, new intercooler, another timing belt kit, new dual mass and clutch. (I had no intention of selling for quite awhile at this point)
So the engine and an ancillaries are 10k miles old. (Bottom end 30k)
When I bought it, it obviously had full Land Rover history including a recent diff and gearbox within the last couple of years before I bought it.
I replaced all the suspension, dampers and springs with oem KYB units, so it handles like new also.
In the last 1000 miles I have also replaced all the brakes, drilled and grooved Mtec discs, Mtec pads, braided stainless brake lines, new calipers (Painted SVR Blue). I upgraded the fronts to the larger 3.2 discs as well.
It has an Alive Tuning Re-Map and certainly shifts when you need it to.
I think that’s the mechanicals covered....

Other bits I have done in my ownership:

Facelifted the Front and Rear including rear led lights and Front drl’s.
Converted the interior to 2014 leather seats Front and rear. Activated rear electric windows
Fitted a Pioneer Apple play stereo with rear camera, also fitted a HSE steering wheel with phone controls, cruise and stereo... all working.
Genuine black side tubes
18” genuine Evoque alloys with good Pirelli Tyres all round.
Genuine rubber floor mats.
Front Light Guards

It also has Climate Control, Cruise Control, Rear Parking Sensors, Tow Pack, Factory Privacy, 2 Keys

It has just been serviced with genuine Land Rover parts, lifetime K&N Panel Filter and given a fresh MOT (Sailed Through)

Will be sad to see her go and won’t give it away... I know I will never see anywhere near what I have put into it, but should serve someone very well!

You say it’s was a LR dealers delivery van. Is it a commercial that’s had a rear seat conversion? Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Present: Audi A3 S Line.

I think you should advertise it as a converted commercial - I think there’ll be a lot more interest because of the personal tax benefits. Thumbs Up Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

WOW, you certainly have done a lot of work to her, good luck with the sale.
One very small minor picky comment KYB are not the OEM for the springs and dampers.

They were listed under OEM.... I guess it just means they meet the correct manufacturers specifications...
