It's a nice thought but just a wee bit out of our price range. But if I did, it wouldn't be black ______________________ 2011 Full Fat RR 4.4 TDV8 2012 FL2 SD4 Auto HSE 2013 Kawasaki Versys 650 |

Clutches can fail (quite expensivly) on fl1 td4's, mine burnt out its wiper motor in heavy snow, the tailgate handle failed as did the clock spring in the steering wheel. The basic problem with fl1's is the amount of rover parts in them oh and the pretty bad crash test results. Get her the A3 At work

Jeeps are great if you actually want to go off-road ... the first FL was great if you have a few $$ in your pocket to maintain it ... but my pick for your situation would be a limited edition (such as the Columbia Edition) previous X-trail Diesel Manual (ok, you can stop swearing now! ). I drove one of these aross the Europe and back (3000+ klm) in a week and was never tired, and it av. 7.4lt/100klm - even at German Autobahn speeds! Loads of room in the back, huge sunroof, nice 6 speed gearbox... and you can't break a Nissan! ______________________________

I had an 02 plate FL1 TD4 and never had a single problem with it, economical 37mpg and I think the later face lift models look good too. |

I had a 2005 FL1 TD4 before my current FL2. Never had any problems with it at all and would happily have had another, if the FL2 hadn't come along... - Dick |
