Hi there! Not sure this post is in the right place but here goes...

New to the forum but interested to find out more about all things FL2.

Just bought my wife an interesting FL2- 264,000 miles - and it really is an incredible car. SE spec and everything appears to work, one owner, FSH, not sure where they went in it as I've never come across anything with that kind of miles. Typically the mrs wanted a RR but I drew the line at that. I'm decent on the spanners but not that good. FL2 seems to be pretty straightforward to work on.

So this car drives really well, I've done usual service items, put a wheel bearing and cambelt/ water pump on it, checked all diff/ haldex and gearbox fluids and we're away- well for now. Doesn't use a drop of oil either and I've done 1500 miles in it last month to see what it's like in reality. Think I may put it in a museum!

See what you think- pics attached- I've tarted it up a bit with some chrome bling but looks a lot more than the well under 3k that we paid.

I'll keep you posted and report if its still running! Still can't decide if its just going to pack up or carry on as normal. I'd even consider putting a new engine in it if needed as the rest of it is pretty solid. Interior doesn't look like its been sat in. Anyone with an FL2 with similar mileage out there?

As Coleman would say 'Remarkable' . . . very happy to hear this, mine bought in Dec has 159,000 on it, you have made it feel like new, you are (one of the many on here) lucky lads who can work on it, arthritis and a lack of skill prevents me

Looking forward to seeing how it goes, must admit I have been a bit on edge this year with mine, mainly after reading this forum and seeing what faults can occur, thankfully pretty good so far. . .

I would lose the badge off the back, looks a bit fishy to me

There is hope for us all, very impressive miles. Did you check/ replace the Haldex filter?

The garage near me where I bought mine from have sold a few Fl2's with over 250k on . The garage owner says he has had less trouble with these than some with low mileage on . Looks a nice example you have too.

Not had the filter out but am planning to. Haldex filler plug has had some use though so that's a positive.
