Seems to depend on the "was" price, the Aldi/Lidl one will do the same job at 3.8 Amps maxfor about £14. where CTEK win is with the higher capacity chargers my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

it always makes me smile when you see the add,s on tv.75% off 50% off .the question to be asked is, OFF OF WHAT?!a lot of this stuff had a price hike the month before then they knock what seems "silly%"off to make it look like a good deal.

Wish someone could explain that to my mrs, she comes back from shopping trips telling she just saved me £££'s , until the saving is a credit on my account then it doesnt count. At work

Hi just got the Aldi charger while it's still in stock.having read meny ideas on here ,is it safe to charge the battery in the car with it connected.also if you feed the cables out could you have it locked .as my freelander lives outside due to garage hight. |

Yes and yes. My CTEK connects through the towbar socket. No problem at all.

And if you do not have a tow bar you can still connect to the battery and feed the cables out between bonnet and wing (there is enough gap) then close bonnet and lock car. FL2 Metropolis, Loire Blue, ebony/ivory |

I would normally just put the appropriate connector on the existing battery charger lead and plug that in. If you are planning on using an extra long cable from the charger to the towbar then the size will be dependent on length due to voltage drop.

pins 9 (permanent live) and 13 (Earth for pin 9) on a 13 Pin socket. pin 4 (permanent live) and 3 (Earth) on a 7 pin 12S (white) socket My car is backed up to the power source, so no long cable needed, just standard wiring as per CTEK charger.. Or you could just fit Anderson connectors which can also be used for jump starting
