Air Quality (NOx) is the one that is controversial.
Freelander2 (2012 Euro5) tests at more than 12x NOx against Euro6 standard.
Most other diesels are similar for NOx, only 17 of 168 Euro6 cars are compliant using real-world driving tests.
Ironically, VW seems to be one of the better manufacturers for Euro6 diesels.

I read that too. I’m a little suspicious of those claiming “real world” figures, when their testing methods aren’t that open to scrutiny and seem a little flaky in places. We could be exchanging one flawed system for another. Still interesting though...
