Looks like a good idea. That is the problem.Whenever I do anything I end up with a ton of tools all handy at home but if home is an hour away and I need something I haven't got handy.

However it's tempting to do the service work, Haldex filter and oil changes, perhaps the timing belt and stuff. Could all be done in a day.

What could possibly go wrong.

I seem to recall seeing TV adverts for this sort of thing years ago, perhaps in the late 70's. When my village had a garage the guy (who I knew quite well) used to let me put the car on the ramp to have a look around but he was very wary about letting me work on it myself as he said that his insurance only covered employees. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
