I'm giving that new iPhone X a miss. Nice but too expensive. I'll get the 8 Plus on free upgrade which I can order from Friday. No tariff change, I just hand in my old one at an O2 shop and get the new one. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

2G hasn't got much shelf life left here, they are having to use that Frequency range for digital TV and emergency services |

haha pretty much all areas have 2G.... your phone will work on 4G for data etc but switch to 3G to make calls (as 4G calls don't exist as such)

2G. So, my minty, mint, mint original iPhone 1st generation will always work or is it going to go the way of pre-GSM phones?

The last phone work supplied before I retired was a 5c. I liked it so much I bought one for my wife. The white moulded plastic case back made it super slim and light . I'm now using a 7plus 128gb - will keep it for another 15 month as I got it on Apple's interest free deal . At the end of that time if I decide to upgrade it will return £400 on the 'bay . I'm not an early adopter I prefer to jump on after the bandwagon starts to roll. Even though it's water resistant I've got the 7 in a Lifeproof Nuud mil-spec drop proof and IP68 case : trouble with that installed the phone is big enough to use as a tray to eat your tea on your knee while watching telly

I have an iPhone 5c acquired from my partner, which is perfectly adequate for my needs.I just cannot justify the cost of these latest iPhones. To be honest,I'm not that into the latest technology. |

Well I’ve done the deal on a space grey iPhone X 64GB! I got an upgrade with O2 who I have been with for several years. I have managed to get the monthly payments to £8 more per month than what I am paying now but I’ve recently negotiated a £20 discount per month on my broadband and TV services which offsets that and more. I have just had to part with £130 up front which I can live with. Delivery is up to 4 weeks apparently but I suspect more like 5-6 weeks with the demand. I just need to find a nice case for it now.
