Hi my td4 gs has jus my cluch has gone no return of pedal and leaking clutch/brake fluid was told it was a duel mass flywheel or the master/slave valve it never slipped jus went in a oner please help me

with no return of pedal it sounds like the slave cylinder has gone. Fluid has probably leaked over the clutch and flywheel as well unfortunately.

cost will be about £700+ to replace the clutch, slave cylinder and flywheel (been there and done that)

Where is the fluid leaking? Could be the master cylinder if you are "in luck"  3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

i thought if the pedal didn't return up, then that was more than likely the slave cylinder ??

im no mechanic so only going off my interpretation of posts on here so stand to be corrected.

Could be either with fluid loss!

My neighbour had a similar thing on her VW last year and it turned out to be the master cylinder in her case. Unfortunaletly about 6 months later the rest of the clutch setup had to be replaced as the DMF broke up. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

The clutch on my '07 plate XS is showing signs of failing, judder on take up and much shorter pick up. Ive had two quotes from indies, one for £1310 the other £1290....havent been brave enough to try the main dealer....

The quotes cover clutch including DMF and clutch cylinder with all associated parts....is there any likelihood of getting a decent job doen for less?

I think thats expensive as you can get the parts for less than £400. Call a LR dealers and ask how many hours to do it and then ask for a email quote as they will need to show the parts cost. Once you have the the number of hours you can ask the "locals" how much is the hourly rate and get the real cost of this job using parts cost attached
