anyone know what the manufacturers paint warranty is on a MY13 please ?

while checking my wheelarch rubbers yesterday I noticed that on one rear wheel arch, right on the edge of the rim, there is a strip about 3 inches long of cream primer and rust where the surface paint is missing. like someone has got a sharp edged tool and run it along the lip of the arch.

it doesn't look like stone damage, as there is no denting or deformity present and ive not dragged any branches or anything as ive never driven on anything more than a light track in a forestry commission car park.

im wondering if the paint warranty will cover the respray/touch up

If any part of your Land Rover’s bodywork is corroded with rust, the affected panels are repaired or replaced by a Land Rover Approved Service Centre, free of charge. Regardless of mileage or any change of ownership, this coverage lasts six years from the day you take delivery of your new Land Rover.

PAINT SURFACE WARRANTY

The Paint Surface Warranty starts at the same time as your Manufacturer’s Warranty and continues for three years. If there are any defects to the paint itself, or resulting from the way it was applied, repairs will be carried out free of charge by any Land Rover Approved Service Centre.

My reading of it sounds like you might be best trying the approach under the rust warranty given it lasts for 6 years, but then given my current warranty issues I'd best not speak up at all

cheers for that Dakers, weather strips and seals are also supposedly not covered however the warranty company approved these to be replaced. Its got to go back for the wheel arch rubbers to be done next Friday so I will mention the paintwork to them then.

Service book needs to be ticked that it passed on each service the bodywork inspection. I am of the opinion its worth a ask /discussion. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

the services from new were done at an indy garage who only stamped up the book with dates etc. I don't think they ticked the corrosion check box. However it came off LR Approved (even though that's not worth the paper its written on from the dealer I bought from !)
