United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Santorini Black

we once parked in the wrong place and ended up behind padlocked gates, a quick wiggle of the gates broke the chain.

when younger one of my mates still had a motor bike while most had cars, a few times he released us from paycar packs by driving the bike upto the in barrier which openned and we were able to drive out around him. At work

fiddling with barriers and padlocks these days leaves you open to criminal damage charges on top of overstaying your welcome charges......
gone are the days of lifting things out the way, exiting, and then replacing them (not that I have ever done that Whistle )

That's the technicalities that win these parking firms their case.

It can be the other way around. Poor signage and grace periods are two key defences among many.

Do some people knowingly ignore PPC 'contractual conditions', yes, of course. However the unreasonable charges and the PPC's often unreasonable, threatening and sometimes illegal behaviour means, to me at least, that they should not continue to be funded by exorbitant charges.

The sooner the government clamps down on the mockeries that are the ATAs and the appeals bodies, as well as the DVLA contracts the better.

The two men who run the IPC (one of the ATAs) are the same men who run Gladstone's Solicitors, who IPC affiliated PPCs often use to pursue their charges. How can that be ethical.

What about all these "Don't Drive Tired" campaings and signs by the government?

I agree. I would be using that as my defence. Just ask them where you're supposed to stop for a nap when you're nodding off. Would they rather you drove on and killed yourself and others? MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE
