Freelander 2 SE Auto

Just put a holding deposit on a Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto, it's a July 07 car with 8,500 miles on the clock. Is there anything I should look for such as recalls, common faults etc etc.

Also have there been any spec changes I should know about. It's from a LR dealer, so normal warranty applies.

Price is £15,800 which seems good (I think) Disco 3 Owner looking for Freelander 2 as well

In the present climate, as a buyer, you are a very rare species.

Make sure you squeeze the dealer 'till his pips squeak !! Big Cry Big Cry

In previous times when the market has been better dealers have held onto every last penny of a deal, now the boot is on the other foot.

If you do a very selective search with autotrader you can be sure you know the asking price of similar vehicles, and remember thats the asking price, deals are probably done below the prices you see.

As a current owner then I'd rather not see values through the floor, but that's life.

Make the most of your buying power, you're looking at a fantastic vehicle, make it even better by getting the best possible price

Thanks, it does seem like a good price. To be honest I do feel sorry for the dealers in many ways, most are just trying to make a living in a very difficult time.

I suppose I should keep hold of my money in these difficult times even though I can easily afford it, but if we all stopped buying then things will get even worse.

I know what you mean about values, we have a Discovery 3 TDV6 which has lost probably £10K in 15 months Big Cry Disco 3 Owner looking for Freelander 2 as well

they don't do a FL2 model Big Cry just tjhe FL1, D3 or RRS

Only 10k?? don't wanna worry ya but Lloyds landrover are knocking out new D3 GS's for £26k thats £7+k off list and my 0ct 07 FL2 was valued at £10k less than I paid.
