Morrisons Stirling

Just had my FL2 at Morrisons Stirling for its second - 30,000 mile - service.

No problems: car washed and hoovered.

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Stornoway Grey

The mini valet my car gets when serviced is very good. Thumbs Up

However If I was paying for the service myself I might have an issue with the cost (on the basis that nothing in life is free!) Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!
Company cars ... a thing of the past - May 2013.

£340.47, which is cheaper than my previous vehilces: Saabs at Westcars Glasgow.

The only thing I'm not happy with is that because I didn't buy my FL2 from Morrisons, I'll never get a courtesy car, even for a nominal fee. This policy is shared by Taggarts.

At Westcars, it didn't matter from whom I'd bought my Saab, I was always able to get a courtesy car if available.

HC, I have used Morrison's for nigh on 15 years and only ever received excellent service from both the sales and servicing departments. I still buy my accessories for both my RRS and Def90 from Morrisons as I only live 20 minutes drive from the showroom. My current RRS Tdv8 was the only the 2nd Land Rover out of 7 owned that I hadn't bought from Morrisons - only because I got a better offer from CHPR without having to wait 3 months, the car also had it's first service at CHPR as I had to be in London when the service was due so it made sense to get it done at the supplying dealer.

BTW - there is an excellent non franchise LR service outlet at Larbert (just beside the railway tracks and close to the big viaduct) who will service any Land Rover product from S1 Land Rover right through to the latest model using genuine LR parts (so you keep your warranty) but with labour at £30 an hour.......................... these guys go by the name of GEMM, and George and Bobby and their team are all very enthusiastic Land Rover owners and run many of the SLROC events between them. How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?
Now driving - RRE Coupe Dynamic Lux Auto with Plus pack, Fuji White, Ebony, SD4 with tow pack
Gone - 2010MY FFRR TDv8 Stornoway and Ivory, Privacy - the pace of a TDv8 RRS, the incomparable grace of a Range Rover
Gone but will be missed- RRS Tdv8 HSE Stornoway Grey with Ebony Leather
Gone (only a little missed) RRS Tdv6 2.7SE Giverny Green/Aspen
Defender 90 County HT in Epsom Green

2008 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Santorini Black

i phoned morrisons for a quote for my first service £307 reasonable
and for getting the rear PDCs fitted ( I already have the LR003105 kit) so labour only required.

First of all was told that it wasnt possiblr to retro fit the PDCs, i told the service dept I had the kit on my desk
and it most certainly is, it is a LR003105 kit. He said he woudl check and get back to me.

24 hours later he called to say it woudl be around £500+ to fit the sensors !!! Labour only!

I pointed out he was having a laugh as Frank Ogg Elgin assured me it was a 1hr or so Labour and would be £78+VAT!

Even reknowned stealers T&C in Aberdeen said 2 hours max £195.50 inc.

He said well id book with them then cos the engineer tells me its a nightmare job and that is the price !!!!!

shocking customer service ! and 1 x customer lost.

I can recommend this dealer. Excellent service and hospitality. Nothing is too much trouble. Reception staff, Sales staff, and the Mechanics are a pleasure to deal with. Thumbs Up Out with the old (2007 SE)
In with the new (2012 Dynamic with everything). Now also gone.

I have to say that having had various other prestige makes (Mercedes etc) Morrison's are by far the best dealer I have ever had. Friendly service and nothing is too much trouble I would certainly recommend them to anyone living in Scotland’s Central belt. Well done guys!
