My wife had a clear out of the loft last week and did a boot sale. Her friends did the same and they were making a day of it. She asked if I had anything that needed clearing. I had a new pair of Snap-On work boots that I had had for about 5 years that I didn't like, a second hand pair of motorbike boots, a secondhand pair of motorbike Kevlar jeans and a top box liner bag I asked her to ask £15 for each of them but take a tenner if she had to but bring them back if not sold. She made £68 after the entrance fee on her stuff and everything unsold got dropped off at the charity shop on the way home. Not one single taker for my stuff though. Rather than put them back in the loft, I stuck them all on eBay. They all sold. I got £25 for the top box liner, £29.99 for the bike boots, £31 for the jeans and £60 for the work boots!
