My car is the same age as yours , I phoned around to my local dealers and they said that LR advise brake fluid change at 3yrs old. I'm getting 3rd service ,MOT & the fluid change for £360 , that's at a LR dealer. Do it now ! Your a long time dead !! |

According to the schedule at 3 years its an A service (basically have a look around - check a few things and change the oil & oil filter) plus brake fluid change (and MOT of course).

Im guessing that with the advent of online servicing books for newer models, then independent servicing is difficult to record and prove so the only way IMO is to obtain a replacement service book from LR or elsewhere and have that stamped.

Invoices should be fine as Iain suggests and as cars come out of warranty they can be serviced anywhere using non genuine parts. Anyone on Topix able to tell us is you can download service books (or order them).

As I do quite a bit of routine service work myself on our older vehicles I keep a log for all my vehicles in a spreadsheet and embed date stamped pics of major work done, plus keep the receipts /invoices. Jules |

My nearest (20+ miles away) LR independent specialist can. They did my FL2 first B service last year and logged it on the on-line. But I was wondering if the local "village" garage can do so as well - they have done all my MOTs and work I cant do myself on our older vehicles for years and it would be nice to give them any future work. Hi, by registering via https://osh.landrover.com it's possible to enter non Land rover service history. You can also look at the service history and print it. Hope that helps.

Thanks Tpot - registered and uploaded 2nd service details which were done by an Indy to a higher spec than LR 'B' service. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Got the car back from service yesterday. I reported a fault with the drivers door mirror.. it shoogled up and down , so much that when going over an uneven road the whole mirror vibrated and I couldn't use it. Car passed mot ok , service done ok but the repaire wasnt. Before I paid for the service I gave the car a once over, housing for the mirror wasn't on properly, got the service manager out to look at it , then I noticed that the housing is scratched.
