Nudge bars and bullbars

ECB are wondering how many owners would be interested in one or the other.

What is the feeling?

Hi Gecko

A nudge bar is a more dainty affair to protect you from the odd scrape, whereas a bull bar is the macho thing out the front to fend off kangaroos at dusk and to prove you are a real 4 WDer. Laughing

Gecko, I just checked your address, so my reply might be a bit dutch to you. Laughing

In Australia the heavy duty 4 WDs in country areas use a bullbar to protect the front of the vehicle from livestock and kangaroos, which can be a problem especially around dusk. The bullbar is also a place to mount a winch, aerials and lights.

A nudge bar is a much smaller front end protector.

Check out the Australian off road sites like ARB or East Coast Bullbars to see pictures.

The only bull we need to avoid is what it says in Npinks posts

G'day team,

I have written to ARB and they are currently not looking at producing bull bars for the Freo Crying or Very sad - HOWEVER I guess if enough people ask, they may change their mind.

I had a great ARB bull bar on my Disco 2 when I was auctioneering in western Qld and would love one for my Freo driving back and forth along the Hume Highway and bush roads.

It is a similar story with East Coast Bullbars.

They want about 50 certain sales before committing to a production run. At this stage ECB don't think that there would be enough sales to warrant the effort.

So this never happened then? (Whoops, just noticed it was posted from Oz! Not an issue then with such a sparse population Smile )

No one plans on knocking down a pedestrian or cyclist but equally no point making it any worse if it happens? Mind you, any idea what a Fairey winch would do to someone? Also available in Clean.
