Throttle Body Cost ?

In last few minutes I tuned off the motor to hear the dreaded click, click and click. When not raining I will make sure it is as suspected the Throttle Body.

Meanwhile has anyone fitted one recently themselves and got any tips and where will be found the best price for one ?

Thanks Bob FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Just over £100. Fairly easy DIY fit too.
This is where I got mine from.

Thanks Steve will get one on order when I ensure it 100% needed (as I can open the bonnet in the dry) as its rice planting time in Yorkshire today. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I had mine replaced a few weeks ago , it cost around £100 or so from Eurocarparts with a discount code . It was a quality Pierburg part too.. A landrover tech who I know fitted it in no time at all . The car had to be plugged in and told the throttle body was changed .

Hi, I changed mine back in May (Pierburg) £100 off Ebay,
Managed to change it myself dirty and a bit fiddly but then I've got a bit of Arthur's in one hand,
all working fine now and didn't need to plug in. Thumbs Up DAVE.

There was a debate about this issue on the forum a year or two ago, something about the car setting the limits for the stepper motor in the throttle body so that it doesn't eventually scrunch the plastic gears inside by trying to drive it beyond the mechanical endpoints. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Hi guys. On average how long does a throttle body last. Been thinking about stocking up on these small parts like the handle for the boot. Since they are only small parts and don't take up much space. GS Sd4 2012

We have had 5 FL2s and only one has needed a throttle body - and that was at a low mileage around 30k. My brother in law has an FL2 09 reg with 130k miles and no throttle body problems (or anything else for that matter). 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
