New set of absorber shocks

Dear members, I need to replace the 2 sets (back and front) of absorber shocks after 174,500kms for my FLR2 diesel 2009. Does anybody has to suggest a brand which is suitable, reliable and relatively cheap ?
Thank you

We've just had all the shock absorbers replaced on my wife's Fl2 with KYB's and can't fault them . I had a pair of Britpart shocks fitted to mine and what a mistake that was , they were removed and returned for a full refund , don't buy cheap . Mine has now got genuine LR on now and what a transformation .

LR dont make shock absorbers. Who makes them for LR ?

I'd get a set from a shock absorber manufacturer, eg Monroe ( I fitted a set of Monroe uprated gas shocks to my Disco TD5 (years ago) and they were great, Bilstein (had uprated ones on my BMW - awesome).

Im guessing that for the price LR charge you could get a "better" set elsewhere.

Fitting is pretty straight forward, even for DIY with the right tools. Jules

You are right. LR does not make absorbers. And it can cost me much less if they are fitted elsewhere. Bilstein or Monroe sounds like a good option. Thanks, for your reply, Jules.

BWI (used to be Delphi) make the land rover dampers and these are available aftermarket from companies like Hotbray
