Strange Automatic noise

Freelander 2008 HSE TD4 Auto

I've had a periodic issue with my Landy where, there will be a series of 'bad' gear changes. Can happen at low speed as well as high speed and in any forward gear.

Usually feels like a noisy downshift and is quite a dramatic clunk.....always when accelerating. Will do maybe one or twice on a long journey and then be fine for weeks on end!

Anyone come across this with their car?

Thanks

David

Unless you have a warranty I would be doing a purge and change of the auto box oil if never done. If in any warranty period send it back to be sorted. Thumbs Up FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Thanks - sounds like good advice.

I'll get it done as soon as I can.
