Who makes a proper expedition style roof rack ?

Any ideas who makes a good expedition style roof rack for the FL2 that's suitable for an HSE with a panoramic roof ?

Cheers

You can only put 75kg on the roof & that is including the roof rack. If it is just for looks & you are basically not going to carry anything then it will be ok. I have removed my roof platform due to it's mass. The lightest solution I came up with was 4 cross bars. Even this setup is a bit over weight but I can empty fuel containers & get the weight off the roof while on the run. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Have you spoken to the roof tent manufactures about mass & their recommendations for roof mounting.

Take a look on the G4 website - they were fitted with expedition racks, like hens teeth, but you could always get one made using these as a template.
Granted maximum loading 75kg while moving, but our FL1 had a roof tent which when occupied (and obviously static) had a LOT more than 75kg - two adults one over 17 stone (110kg) Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

Have a look at the Brownchurch web site (search brownchurch roof racks) they list a rack for a fl1 but it looks like it could be adapted maybe by them. Very experienced long term supplier of equipment for land rovers. our work defenders are fitted with racks supplied by them very heavy duty kit. Hope this helps.
