Got one and works well. Why would I want to involve insurance companies ? Footage is a 2 way street if you get my drift. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Nice to see someone's replied, why not involve them if you have a cam and get discount on your policy Bob? |

I would not opt for a discount, that one day you have a accident they want the footage and pick it to pieces and end up voiding your policy because you did 31 in a 30 and there fore was reckless Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

You could simply work out the speed looking at 2 separate frames in the video seeing what position along the road you are at.

I had a Thinkware F750 in my previous FL2 and it worked really well. I particularly liked the manual record button which would save 10 seconds before pressing it and 20 seconds after into a separate file so that if you come round a corner and there's wildlife in the road or a fantastic view you can view it later and take a still from the video file.

I have the 412GW a great piece of kit for the price but keep a hold of your receipt, the suction cup fell apart last week in the 30c heat and had to be replaced.I have not heard about a premium discount for having one fitted, but it does give me piece of mind. |

I would be wary of looking for a discount from the insurance if anything happens and your camera isn't working misses the crucial part memory card corrupts shows you doing 3 mph over the limit etc etc you are in for grief. |
