Electrically raised Towbars

Daughter went on a LR experience do yesterday, overheard her telling wife about it but much sniggering & chortling so asked wife what was all that about then ? Have you seen the electrically powered towbar on the new disco she said ? So whats all that about then Laughing Can't possibly imagine ! FL2 Ex D2, D3, RRS, etc. now all gone.

gimmicks for the sake of gimmicks maybe ? IMO as its under the back of the car, open to the elements its a nightmare waiting to happen.

is it just me that thinks that the majority of the latest gadgets, gimmicks and toys on cars are just a waste of time (lane departure, traffic sign warning, blind spot sensor, electric tow bars, DRL, 4x4 info on screen etc etc etc)

How about just driving properly, using our own god given senses and learned skills as it used to be.
