I put the wheels in the lounge each night so they can't take the caps!

I had that problem recently. One out of the four caps had bonded so tight that 2 pairs of pliers couldn't move it. Eventually I got the cap off but ruined the valve. Result one flat tyre! Had to remove the wheel and take it to my local tyre depot for a new valve. Sticking to the standard plastic ones from now on. |

At least the valve caps are useful. I was just looking at the agenda for the Parish Council meeting next week and I see that one of the items is "theft of dog poo bins and contents" - so things can get worse. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I’ve had the same problem with a set of Richbrook anti theft valve caps on a Disco. They fused to the valve stems completely and ruined a complete set of pressure sensing valves - around £500 for the set if you buy them from Land Rover Never use metal caps, unless you’re prepared to remove them regularly and keep them greased. |
