Ratchet/Crank sound after engine stopped

My first post - hi all! Smile

I've lately been noticing this sound coming from the front of the engine bay straight after shutting the engine off. From searching it sounds like it could be the throttle body on its way out - I've made a video demonstrating it - would anyone mind having a listen and seeing if you can shed some light please?

Wow, that's a lot worse sounding than mine Laughing

Guess I'm gonna need to add this to the TODO list then, from what I've read it isn't critical that I replace it straight away.

Your welcome and it also shows that on finishing the job the high pitched noise on shut down is standard as we get that question from time to time FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

About £100 to buy, easy to fit yourself, about 1 hours work taking your time. I bought mine and had it in the boot for around a month - even took it on holiday with me in case it was needed while I was away! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Present: Audi A3 S Line.

Just been watching some videos, there's some horrible sounding ones out there! Looks like some terrible engineering went into this part.

Thanks all, will try and track one down at a good price.
