Burning Oil Smell

Hi. My Dad's FL2 Manual has developed a smell of burning oil after the engine has started to warm up. The smell is noticable inside the car and is carried by the fan. It smells like oil hitting a hot surface such as the exhaust and then gradually burning off. There engine oil level hasen't dropped, and there's no obvious signs of a leak. It's going into the local dealer next week to be checked out. However, I wanted to see if any of you have any ideas / experiences, as I've no doubt the dealer will say there's nothing wrong!!??
