Hi all, missus has an 08 FL2 S with HST kit, I've pressed both the switches at the same time near the door mirror positioning joystick but they don't fold in (my disco 3 does). With it only been an S will it not have folding mirrors? It's got auto wipers and auto lights so strange if no folding mirrors (mind you, it's only got a rear passenger pocket on rear of passenger seat, nowt on drivers - tight gits ) of

you need to have the ignition 'ON' whilst pressing BOTH 'L' & 'R' button together.

PS ...... MY 'GS' .... DRIVER'S SEAT DOESNT HAVE A REAR POCKET.

Hi, thanks for the reply - Had engine running and have tried resetting be pushing them both towards front of car then back to folded position before pressing both buttons together, no joy. Will look again tonight, do they have a fuse? Cheers

I may be wrong but I don't think the S spec came with folding mirrors, the original owner may have specced auto lights/wipers as an extra when it was new.

As for the rear seat pockets, the lower spec models (S, GS and possibly XS) only came with one on the passenger seat.... so the driver could store his/her AA road map book and still reach it as there was no factory nav as standard in pauper spec models

Going from memory here as I`m at work and the Freelander is at home but I think that the cars with powerfold mirrors have a little graphic line joining the left and right mirror switches with a folding mirror symbol that shows how to fold the mirrors in.No symbols = no powerfold! Hope this makes sense!

... and the HSE has powerfold on lock up.  It gotta D3 but surfing here for wifey's new motor ...

....... my Pauper GS has powerfold on lock-up ......

GS upwards had powerfold mirrors, auto lights/wipers, TR, cruise and climate over the S model as standard, XS then added half leather but the satnav and pan roof was only fitted to rich mans SE and above as standard

I believed they changed a lot of things when they did the 2013 facelift, including taking fog lights off standard for the GS but introducing full leather but didn't know they took away the auto lights

We had two GS models 2010 an 2011 facelift the 2010 one had footwell lamps, the 2011 had the lampholders but no bulbs in but they worked fine when bulbs were inserted. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto
Now Discovery Sport P250 MHEV SE

Blimey, thanks to everyone - Such a wealth of knowledge, I'll give up trying to get them to fold in using the buttons She'll probably never have used em anyhow!

Yes fogs, I had to buy them back in a cold climate pack but no auto lights just daytime running lights.

Love the leather though, wish I was 30 years younger if you know what I mean.  FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I'm even more confused than usual.

I dont have the Cold Climate pack, but have the front fogs. I guess the first owner had them added. No puddle lights and no footwell lights, or holders for them even. Updated- Waiting for a Scotland v England 6 Nations home win. 24th Feb 2018

Cold climate pack was heated windscreen and washer jets I think
Clear view pack added the front fogs I think
