They forgot to press both mirror buttons simultaneously, after doing the same to fold them in. I forget sometimes after leaving my garage. Also sometimes forget to fold them in to avoid scraping the side of the garage when entering. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I tend to leave them "in"when using narrow lanes where passing can be tight, then put them back out when I get to a normal road.whether its legal or not makes no difference as you have the rearview mirror, and no one can pass anyway. gone

Having been driving a Chrysler Grand Voyager for 5 yrs, I got into a habit of having to close them, rather than lose them.

Found out how to do it on my 07.

However, I have discovered, that the buttons don't respond to the close them if you are not in first gear???

On one of my big 650cc scooters I had electrically folding mirrors. With the mirrors out, fully loaded with tall screen, top box and touring gear I could reach a true (satnav) speed of 99mph. Folded them in and I hit 101mph so it probably had an effect on the MPG although probably wouldn't do much for a FL2! . Mr. Green Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
